Item Management of generalised anxiety disorder with homoeopathic medicine Calcarea carbonica in LM potency(Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, 2025) Punam KumariIntroduction: Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) is a common mental health disorder that interferes with daily activities and the quality of life of people. Case summary: A 38-year-old female patient presented with symptoms of anxiety along with marked fear of some impending misfortune, decreased socialisation and difficulty in managing her day-to-day work and family responsibilities for one year and six months. She was diagnosed with a case of generalised anxiety disorder as per the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision classification of psychiatric disorders. A detailed case taking and repertorisation was done as per homoeopathic principles. The patient was prescribed individualised homoeopathic medicine Calcarea carbonica in LM potency from LM 0/1 to LM 0/15. The case is being reported as per the HOM-CASE guidelines. The assessment of causal attribution was carried out using the Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homeopathy (MONARCH) inventory. The GAD-7 score of the patient improved from 18 to 3 in five months. Two months of subsequent follow-up on placebo did not show any relapse. This case report suggests that individualised homoeopathic treatment in LM potency can be useful for the management of GAD.Item Management of tinea corporis with the minimum doses of homoeopathic nosode Psorinum(2024) Punam Kumari; Shivam Kumar; Verma, RenuIntroduction: Tinea corporis (TC) is the most common superficial fungal infection of the skin that invades and grows in dead keratin. The topical treatment causes suppression of TC and with the effect of it, a repeated episode of relapse occurs, which hampers the quality of life of the patient. Case Summary: This case of TC, with extensive spread on the body, demonstrates the curative effect of homoeopathic medicine with minimum dosage. A 64-year-old male diagnosed with TC was treated successfully with individualised homoeopathic medicine for seven months. The outcome was assessed through before-and-after-treatment photographs. Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) score was used at every follow-up to assess the changes in the quality of life. The causal attribution of homoeopathic intervention was assessed by MONARCH inventory. The case has been reported as per HOM-CASE guidelines. A complete alleviation of TC was observed with homoeopathic nosode Psorinum 200C.
